A thesis discussion with professor Gilbert

Thankfully I had a thesis discussion with professor Gilbert today and I think I have finally nailed down a legitimate thesis topic. Focusing on the lack of and misrepresentation of the latin culture in games that neglect a giant populous and potential market. I will delve into how latino culture is currently being represented in games and across other media outlets, as well as the success and failures of these endeavors. I will look at the huge success of the inclusion of latin american culture in other media formats such as animation with characters like dora the explorer and Go Diego go. I will also research the effects of the negative stereotype representation of latinos in games like grand theft auto, while searching for other games that feature latino characters.
