Teen Goblin
For Pixar’s Onward, I adapted an existing elderly goblin character into a teenage variant while preserving the original design language. I contributed to visual development of the hair and cheerleader costume to represent a teenage girl in a high school setting. I was responsible for the full digital sculpture, neutralizing the sculpt into a T-pose for character rigging, and building the character rig. The rig included custom deformers to support expressive motion in the character’s snaggle tooth and facial performance.
Goblins in Pixar's Onward (2020) are short, suburbanized, humanoid creatures with large heads and ears, inhabiting the magical yet modern city of New Mushroomton alongside elves and other fantasy beings. Key characters include Adolphus, a goblin sorcerer at the Manticore's Tavern, and Grecklin. They fit into the film's theme of mythical creatures adapted to modern, mundane life.
