Katie and Timmy
During early production on Pixar’s Onward, I created full character turnarounds for two child satyrs, Katie and Timmy, to establish the visual style, charm, and appeal of the younger satyr characters. I sculpted and presented the designs directly to the director for visual buy-off, focusing on proportions, expression, and silhouette readability. The characters were approved and moved into production based on this work, helping set the foundation for the kid satyr designs used in the film.
In the film, satyrs once lived in a world when magic once existed throughout the land of mythical creatures. Ever since magic existed across the land, they enjoyed using magic until modern technology arrives. With modern technology rising slowly, satyrs adapted to a new life in this format such as working as employees, appearing as customers, etc
