Sky: Children of the Light – Season of the Two Embers (Part 1) – Crab Figurine Prop

The Crab Figurine is a small decorative prop introduced during Season of the Two Embers (Part 1) in Sky: Children of the Light. Inspired by the world’s iconic crab creatures, the figurine captures the playful yet mysterious nature of these familiar inhabitants through a stylized sculpt that reflects the game’s signature aesthetic.

For this asset, I was responsible for modeling, texturing, and preparing the prop for in-game use. The goal was to create a compact collectible that felt consistent with the handcrafted visual language of Sky, while maintaining clear readability and charm at a smaller scale. Special care was taken to preserve the recognizable silhouette of the crab while simplifying forms to match the elegant, minimal design sensibilities found throughout the game’s environments and props.

The Crab Figurine functions as a lighthearted world-building element within the season, celebrating one of Sky’s most recognizable creatures. Its stylized proportions and polished finish help it feel like a treasured keepsake from the world of Sky, reinforcing the season’s themes of curiosity, discovery, and small moments of delight scattered throughout the player’s journey.
